Night 2-Workshop Night
The next activity is where we get down and dirty (??) under a 4WD vehicle. The night is spent with Peter Kitchin, one of our club’s Technical Officers and the owner of Redlands 4WD Centre. We will look at the mechanical and maintenance needs of a 4WD.
You will need to bring your 4WD to this activity, as it will need to be inspected to ensure that it has the necessary equipment for the Training Weekend.

Training Weekend
The Training Weekend is at Janowen Hills 4WD Park, and it is where we will run you through all of the 4WD skills necessary to obtain the Statements of Attainment for the three competencies that make up your course.
We will spend a lot of time with you to ensure that you are comfortable with your newly-found skills.

Assessment Day #1
The first assessment day is a day in the sand. We will meet in the carpark of the Ettamogah Pub complex, just off the M1 on the Sunshine Coast. From there we will travel up the Cooloola Way to Rainbow Beach, go into the beach and come down the beach to Noosa. You will need to bring $6.00 for the river barge at Tewantin.
Depending on tides, at times this trip may be run in the reverse direction, but you will told of this in advance. This can be a fairly long day, but is great fun.
